Smart shopping when it comes to smart phones

In some of the smart phones such as the BlackBerry the number of mail that they can hold in their inbox is not at all going to be a problem. Tens of thousands of messages could be accommodated in the inbox of this mobile phone. Such features are useful and have to be noted when purchasing a mobile phone. Moreover, BlackBerry videos are the quite exciting feature, which adds on to the merit of these phones. By comparison, the other latest smart phones have the capacity to hold fewer messages. In fact, the iPhone itself, which is considered one of the top class phones in the market today, can only contain about 200 messages at the most.

Considering the look-up capability of the BlackBerry on the other hand, it is not quite as attractive as that of the touch screen phones. Still, one cannot use such features at all when you are traveling on an airplane or when you are devoid of complete coverage. The pixel resolution is another important aspect, which has to be brought into consideration while purchasing a smart phone. Almost every other phone brand today includes a camera with it. The idea is just to add on to the price of the mobile phone commercially by means of the addition of the camera. Whereas, looking into the quality of the camera inside, one would not really bother to purchase the phone for the camera feature.

It is just a mechanical operation what it does and nothing else. Yes, of course, it captures images; you could even use the video camera facility and so on. Still, the clarity of the images and the quality of pictures are a matter of much annoyance and trouble. One cannot get the quality equivalent to that of what you could obtain from a regular camera. Certain smart phones are exceptional in that aspect. Consider the BlackBerry. The 480-pixel resolution capacity of the BlackBerry is outstanding and could exceed the output of a standard camera. Remember all these facts while shopping for your smart phone in a smart way. Price cannot be a constraint as you are already assured of prime service, communication unto the mark. It is the added features that you could avail yourself of for equivalent costs that one should look keenly upon. That way, you don’t find yourself regretting your decision to spend hundreds of dollars on a phone that isn’t perfect.

Customize Your World With Blackberry Apps

Now that you are a proud owner of the latest BlackBerry Smart Phone, you will want to individualize your mobile, to reflect your tastes, your style and your personality. The features of the phone were explained to you when you went to buy it at the Mobile Store. Definitely an improvement on the mobile phone that you had earlier, when access to the internet, while on the go, was possible; and options to send voice mail or email were a boon when phone connectivity could be a problem while travelling or attending meetings. A data plan by the service provider you were using earlier was suggested and which you accepted. Though it was a contract plan, it suited your professional needs and would be reimbursed by your employer.
The most interesting feature of the BlackBerry smart phones that you are eagerly waiting to try out is the choice of the applications or apps that BlackBerry offers. BlackBerry App World a site developed by the developers of BlackBerry – Research in Motion (RIM) – and is easily accessible online. It has a fantastic range of free apps as well as those that cost a few dollars, which can be directly downloaded onto your phone. As you will want to optimize your official functions it is essential to have the BlackBerry Messenger which allows users to send text and images to other BlackBerry users. Useful, as the whole office is wired to BlackBerry. Similarly Skype can be accessed to conduct video conferences. The Evernote app is appropriate for making to-do lists and to share memos and short notes with colleagues. The tungle.me app is a useful organizer – allowing you to share your calendar with clients and asking them to add in their availability. The Bridge BlackBerry app is a good bridge between the desktop computer and your device, and allows you to transfer data for storage. There is a Do Not Disturb app that allows for screening out callers who you don’t want to listen to.
The EDGE technology used by BlackBerry permits high data transmission. Some apps like Player for You Tube use this to give you BlackBerry videos that are of very high definition. The Access Vuclip allows you to search for any videos on the net and arranges them so that they are just a click away.
Apps are a great way to personalize your space on your BlackBerry Smart Phone, but choose only those that are relevant to you, as crowding will only confuse you. A plus point of the latest operating system from BlackBerry is that many apps can be opened simultaneously.

Conventional kinds of smart phones

In some smart phones, instant messengers are not available. It is a basic ingredient these days in the modern mobile phone. In fact, some of the smart phones are even available with multiple browsers that are provided by different suppliers. One can opt to choose one’s own particular flavor according to one’s tastes. While certain products such as the iPhone don’t come with any other browser except Safari. Safari itself is a good browser and certainly the limitations are quite minimal when compared to many other browsers.

Only a few phones out there synchronize well with iTunes, the biggest player in applications for iOS. All the media management programs are designed to suit only the top-class branded smart phones on the market and not the ordinary ones. Hence, it has to be borne in mind when you are trying to buy a costlier phone from the remote parts of the world during your travels to distant places. It could be highly attractive with a variety of features that one has not yet seen on the market. However, imagine if there is a fault – the whole hand set is wasted. You cannot incorporate all those above-mentioned essential additional features with the phone. The compatibility will not be there.

Costs could be cheaper for the branded items; still, they are not worth purchasing if you want a phone that is durable and compatible with your variety of requirements. The resale value will be almost nil, as there would not be any market for a remote branded phone in other localities. On the other hand, smart phones such as the BlackBerry and similar models will gel well with iTunes and other media management programs. In case of typing, it is extremely convenient to type long messages and letters using a BlackBerry.

When you get used to the key boards of this kind, you could really type very faster if not with the speed of what you could do with the QWERTY boards. Moreover, BlackBerry videos are attractive features as well. One can be assured of the great quality and clarity of the movies that you watch on these screens. Buying a mobile phone worth the money spent towards it requires knowledge about the variety of applications that are available on the market. When you are ignorant about the latest updates, the chances are that you might be looted by greedy vendors.

Operating systems used in smart phones

The very first precursor of today’s smartphones was orginally invented all the way back in 1992 by IBM. It was presented to the public for the very first time at a trade show that held in the city of Las Vegas, USA. The launch of the first ever-smart phone with features that included a facility for sending faxes was, at the time, considered a serious landmark in the field of telecommunication.
Looking back two decades on the evolution of mobile phones, the amount of growth witnessed in the industry in the last twenty years is simply enormous. The now ever present touch screen phones and BlackBerry devices are the most obvious current example of this development and how far the technology has been advanced. Smart phones usually employ a complex and well-crafted operating system, as it needs to support a variety of features and mobile operations. Some of the better known systems in the mobile market are Apple’s iOS, Google Android, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 and Nokia’s Symbian. The Blackberry operates via Research In Motion and the embedded Linux distributions are used extensively in the industry in models such as the Maemo and the MeeGo. Such systems could be installed on a variety of different handsets and can also run third-party applications, by using tan application-programming interface, more commonly referred to as the API.
When looking to buy a high quality smart phone at a premieum price from on of the more established brands then it is likely it may be running on the symbian operating system and can be founf on offer in most international markets. The symbian system’s enduring popularty comes mainly from the fact it is open source. The Nokia Corporation bought completely the name and rights of the operating system from its previous owners and made it available to the public in the form of open access. This move was made with the aim cutting down the competition in the trade.
With hindsight it has been a highly successful strategy and a piece of great foresight by some of Nokia’s senior management. By analysing the data available to them they saw foolproof evidence that making such a popular operating system open source would help them to dominate the market. This came to pass in no uncertain terms and such a forward thinking move has helped them to gain a ket edge over their competitors.

The Maket Competition of Smart Phones

In the market, there are several phone operating system leaders, Android being the largest because of its market share on many smart phones. A close second is Apple’s iOS, which is used on many iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices as well as the BlackBerry OS for BlackBerry phones. Microsoft recently released a revamped version of Windows Mobile on the market, called Windows Phone series. It is making strides, including a recent multi-year deal with Nokia, the world leading phone manufacturer, so it will probably become a major player in the OS market. The main concern that most people have regarding the OS, or operating system, is its compatibility with mobile applications, as they’re beginning to play a big role in the market for touch phones.

Making the choice between which smartphone to purchase will always involve some kind of touch screen smart phone, because many smart phones today use a touch screen interface. To make the right choice, you will have to be certain the user experience fulfills your desires, such as the touch screen response time, the ease of use and layout of the screen. Today, many applications are taking advantage of the touch screen feature and this is common with the success of the Apple App Store and the Android market; the two largest after-market mobile application stores on the internet.

As a potential smartphone consumer, it’s wise to consider the battery life. A larger screen touch screen phone may allow you to have the room to play around on the screen but you will have to pay for this in terms of battery life. Many touch screen phones don’t have great battery lives, although with many screen technologies being released in the market, such as OMLED and others, it is possible to find touch screen phones that can give an average of 2-3 days of normal use. For a heavy user, that number can fall to as little as 6 hours of use, especially if the touch phone is used for web browsing and is being used as a touch screen as well.

The current king of the Smart Phones is the BlackBerry, specifically the Bold 9700 model. It’s a beautiful and attractive device, with a solid design and feel to it. Equipped with an on-screen keyboard, the Bold 9700 is very easy to use and feels comfortable in your hand owing to its well thought out design, shape and size. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a real step up from the Blackberry previous model, the Bold 9000, as it was rather large and not as simple to function. The Bold 9700 has a sleek design and works well, making it an impressive addition to the Smartphone market.
