The technological advancement is making the life also advanced. In today’s world, it is impossible to live without these facilities. These have become the necessity of the life. The technology has made it very easy to communicate worldwide. Now we have Mobile Phones to communicate and the internet facility to communicate orally or in written. The basic function of the mobile phones is to communicate either orally or by sending messages. But today’s mobile world has changed in a great extent. Today we are having the mobile phones which posses many more characteristics rather than the simple and basic phones. The Smartphones are good examples of user friendly gadgets.
Now the mobile phones are coming with the capability to run the Operating System also. This is one the characteristics of Smartphone, which makes it separate in compared to the basic phones. The mobile phones use many Operating Systems like Windows Mobile OS, Symbian OS, Linux, iPhone OS, RIM Blackberry, Android and Palm OS etc. One can have the internet experience with his/her mobile phone by using the web features. We can access the one touch internet facility. It has the capabilities of e-book reading, accessing the e-mail, the web browser built-in with the mobile, etc. So now we can say that browsing through the internet is within our pocket.
The hardware configuration is also one of the characteristics of Smart Phones. It has the sensitive and wide touch screen, QWERTY keyboard. The camera is a high resolution, and the camera in the front side is for video conferencing. These characteristics make it very popular among the customers. The mobile with the powerful processor, additional RAM and abundant memory space makes it capable to compare with the personal computer. We can also say that it is a mini computer. These qualities fade away from the distinction of the Laptops, Desktops and the Smart Phones. The telecom industry is growing very vastly. Now the 3G and even 4G technologies are also there with the GSM/CDMA and GPRS technologies. To support these new technologies the very advanced Smart Phones have come in the market.
